The F/Bb horn with whole-tone ascending 3rd valve

It is no secret that the more the length of a tube is shortened, the more clear and precise tone production becomes. Not only is the high register of the F/B-flat horn with ascending third valve much more secure than that of the normal double horn, but also in the low register the response of the notes fingered with the third or with the second and third valves on the B-flat horn is considerably facilitated.
